The definition of quality management system unit:

The unit of quality management system is concerned with maintaining the application of KSU-QMS through  periodic revision  of the quality of academic programs or its accordance to the system. The unit also develop the system continuously to commensurate with international practices .

Tasks of QMS unit:

• To apply  KSU-QMS in all colleges and academic programs of the university.
• To provide the necessary training on the system for faculty members involved.
• To provide consulting about the mechanism of applying QMS while preparing the self-study  for the academic programs which intend to have national and international academic accreditation.

Objectives of QMS unit :

•  Applying  KSU-QMS in all colleges and academic programs of the university.

• Updating and developing   the system continuously to commensurate with international practices .

The accomplishments of QMS unit:

• Providing  the final edition of QMS in Arabic and English.
• Copyediting the QMS by specialists in both Arabic and English.
• Forming a QMS committee to develop, follow up and implement the system in the university. Also, provide the necessary  support for the colleges.
• Developing the system according to the specialists feedback and after sighting the best international practices in this field .
• Developing and dividing the system into two parts to make it easy to apply on the university, colleges and academic programs.
• Designing and preparing a QMS training program by applying four workshops “board of assessors” in the university. Also, setting up assessors council  at the university level.
• The unit participated at the second International Arabic conference for guarantying quality in high education in Bahrain 3/4/2012.
