Administrative Standardizations and metrology unit in deanship of development and quality in King Saud University is as administrative unit with a technical output. It follows Vice deanship for development and quality administratively.

This unit provides internal and external services. Deanship of development and quality, with ISO unit assist, prepared quality management system (ISO 9001: 2008) which approved by Bureau Veritas company in 29th January 2011. Since then, Administrative Standardizations and metrology unit pursuing to apply, develop and improve this unit to work in with the deanship vision in strategic aims achievement and to maintain the donor requirements. ISO unit international standard (ISO 9001: 2008) develop and improve the deanship of development and quality procedures according to the international standard, therefor, the deanship was able to elaborate a second edition system and renewal accreditation system in 28th January 2014.

Administrative Standardizations and metrology unit adjusts the university vice presidency, colleges, deanships and general administrations, and provides necessary counseling to university's ISO certificate, keeps applying quality management system by following up all university's sections according to the international standard beside reviews and renews university's system by ISO certificates donor companies.

Administrative Standardizations and metrology unit provides application of quality management system training according to international standard.

ISO unit aims:

Achieving the vision of the university's world leadership through applying international standards, including:

  • Quality system management ISO 9001: 2008 on All university's units.
  • Environmental system management ISO 14001: 2004.
  • The general requirements of the of calibration and testing laboratories competence ISO/IEC 17025: 2005.
  • Occupational health and safety management system OHSAS 18001: 2007.
  • Information security management System ISO 27001: 2005.
